I Love Trading!

For those of you who did not know I love to trade. some people on Etsy has a Treasury addiction, I have a trade addiction as far as I know. I decided to feature these etsians trading with me every now and then. Believe me, they are all fantastic people, making even more fantastic things! I do hope You will enjoy their work!

First of all. Monda. I am really into these stuffed felt and any kind of fabric monsters. I found her blog and her flickr account and marked her. You know what she did. She went right in my Etsy shop and bought a hair pin. Later on we started convoing each other and we made a nice trade with all this monsters. Aren't they adorable? My kids hardly can wait to have them! (Tell you the truth, me either!)

You've been Waiting for This!

Do you remember me telling I started making glass beads?

Many of you said to show when a piece of jewelry is done of them.
Here it is, my very first one!
Posted by Picasa

Oh, no!

That is what my husband said, when I bought these.

believe it or not, they cost me $15 for the two. I hardly can wait to sit and read to my kids in these armchairs.
He will go and pick them up! (But I think he would be happier if I was collenting match boxes and not armchairs :-))

I Never Leave Home...

...without these things: cell prone, red leather wallet, business cards and a tissue cosy.

This last one I sewed when my son had chicken pox. this was our daily craft, one fo him, one for me. To tell you the truth I love to saw, I even took courses of it, but I haven't do much of it lately. since I am on Etsy I found lot of sewn, that I love and inspire me. I already bought or traded some and I definitely will some more!

Busy, busy...

Well, I have been busy lately. I had a Welsh friend wisiting me for a couple of days, that is always so much fun to be with her. Than we had Easter with all the traditions, ceremonies and cooking. To tell you the truth, I always take the gastronomic advantages of all holidays. Here is a photo of our dining table this Easter.

I GOT IT!

Ordering this Etsy totes were such an adventure. First the paypal payment was dispatched, So Etsy did not know I payed. Then I wrote to them and Julie, who was really helpful, to sort all things out and she sent it right away.
You will not believe what happened. A week later I got the address part of the 2976 form, no package. I was really mad at the postal service, since they loose way too many things, so I went to talk to them. The Chief Officer was really helpful and nice and promised to help. He called me this morning, that the mailman just left with my package!
Tra-taaaaaaaaaa, and now here it is! I love it.
Tonight I go to make some more glass and guess what I will put my stuff in?!

Chickensoup for the Soul

What about this one? This is a week-end finding as well. I never had a soup bowl, apart from my very expensive Herendi kind, that I only use once or twice a year!

I am Featured!

I have never been featured on a blog, until today. Today I was featured on Amy Esther Ceramics blog! Such a great feeling, Thanks Amy! Check out her blog and her shop, they have wonderful ceramics! Please take a look!

Kotyogo

I am sure you are surprised at this picture and do not understand the title, unless you are Hungarian. Kotyogo is a coffee maker, which is filled with water in the bottom, has the coffee in the middle. as the water starts boiling, the steam goes through the coffee, cools down in the pipe and finally drips in the little porcelain cannister, that is decorated in the porcelain factory of Hollohaza with some nice Hungarian folk pattern.
Ok, so fay you know what kotyogo is. I could put a picture of a brand new one here, but I did not. This lousy old one used to belong to my Father-in-Law's. He passed away, so my Husband has tis one now. It always frustrated me, that it does not have a lid. He would not let me buy a new porcelain for it, since this was his Father's and the new ones has an awful pattern.
This week-end I went to two flea markets. i found porcelains - and some other things - that comes from the same series and has a matching lid. Here it is, but we will only use the lid!

Stay tuned for my other flea market finds! They will be blogged soon!

I've Bought a Tripod!

Tra-tra-ta-taaaaaaaa! I bought this one. This makes photographing much easier and photos will be even nicer.

By the way, let me show you my light box:

This was made out of a piece of cardboard, that used to be wrapping a book shipped to me. It is highly recommended to attach a piece of mylar on the top to have a nice soft light inside the box.

I love design classics and mid-century interiors. I am also collecting some of these stuff. I love to go on a treasure hunt and visit flea markets and on-line markets, such like vatera (Hungarian version on EBay). sometimes I drive my husband crazy with all my new findings, but whet I get them restored and put them to the exact right place in our house, he is more than happy.
